MANAGING DIRECTOR

Bodo Lieberam

Bodo is an international executive in financial inclusion with more than 25 years of experience in microfinance, SME finance, and green finance. He has built, led, restructured, and exited financial institutions and impact-driven ventures across Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Eastern Europe.

As Managing Director of Development Finance International B.V., he advises microfinance institutions and renewable-energy companies on governance, turnarounds, digital transformation, and M&A-related processes, and regularly acts as an interim executive in complex situations.

Over his career, Bodo has held multiple CEO and senior management roles, managing multi-country operations, large branch networks and leading several successful restructurings and strategic exits.

He holds a degree in Business Administration and speaks eight languages, enabling him to work effectively across diverse cultural environments.
